Through photography in all its forms, we bring our creative vision of the world and its
diversity in focus. Our goal is to inform, connect, communicate and share our inspired vision with
people who appreciate good art, good value and exceptional photography.
Tobin Fraley discovered photography in 1968 when he asked if he could borrow
his father’s old Leica. The place was Berkeley, California and there was much to
document. He quickly discovered that neither side in a protest appreciated being
photographed, be it the demonstrators or the police.
By 1992 he owned a small publishing business and found that by doing his own
photography he had complete creative control over the end product. In 2003 he
began taking photographs in the Reed-Turner Woodland where he spent the next
8 years documenting the preserve before creating his book, 36 Acres.
Since then he spent 18 years teaching a wide variety of photography classes at
the Chicago Botanic Garden. He has had numerous one person exhibits and is
currently a member of Perspective Fine Art Photography Gallery in Evanston, IL.
