Billy Joel and Elton John Tribute Night

Food Truck Thursdays in the City of Highland Park invites music lovers of all ages to the Ravinia District for a high-energy sing-along with tribute artist and impersonator Simply Elton, performing the unforgettable classics of Elton John and Billy Joel. From “Tiny Dancer” to “Piano Man,” this energetic performance is sure to have the crowd dancing and reliving the golden age of rock ‘n’ roll. Sponsored by Banner Kitchen & Bath Showroom, Elton John & Billy Joel Nite will bring timeless hits and classic style together in the Ravinia District for one unforgettable night.

Attendees will enjoy singing-along with Simply Elton and should come dressed in their favorite Elton John look from his glitzy glasses to his bountiful boas. Beginning August 7, community members can pick up a free pair of iconic Elton John-style sunglasses at participating Ravinia District businesses while supplies last. Then, bring the shades to Food Truck Thursdays on August 14 to bedazzle them with rhinestones and all the glam needed to transform sunglasses into rockstar-worthy accessories—because no one outshines Elton without a little sparkle!

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs or dine at one of the many picnic tables in Jens Jensen Park while enjoying live music (weather permitting) from 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM (June-August) and 4:30 PM – 8 PM (September). The eclectic 2025 musical lineup includes various genres and theme nights for all-ages fun.
