BFT Cultural Center- Ballet Folklorico Tayahua

“For over 10 years, BFT Cultural Center is dedicating, preserving and promoting Mexican cultural heritage through dance. We empower the youth of Lake County, IL. by teaching traditional Mexican dances, fostering respect, discipline, confidence, team work and community engagement. Using dance as a vehicle we help our dancers navigate through life after highschool and into college or tradeschool through life skills workshops, coordinated career field trips and college visits.”

We organize a multicultural festival every 3rd Saturday of September during Waukegan’s ArtWauk  “Fiesta Sin Frontera” FREE family friendly event with delicious food, resources tables, live music from local artists and dances from all over the world.

Join BFT for our 5th annual Fiesta Sin Frontera Multicultural Festival during ArtWauk on September 20th in downtown Waukegan on Genesee St!
